Sesleria autumnalis is a cool-season, clumping, grass that begins to turn silvery white in midsummer. Silvery-white inflorescences emerge on narrow stems and hover high above the foliage. If you plant in groups it will look lush and beautiful. This grass is showy and robust. It is drought tolerant and fits the need for small grass in the full-sun to part-shade landscape. The growth rate is medium. Sesleria autumnalis is considered shade tolerant and requires well-drained soil with some slow-release fertilizer. Do not overwater.
