Pennisetum Pure Energy PPAF is a thick-bladed, showy warm-season flowering fountain grass that grows best in well-drained soil, needs more than six hours full sunlight.  If this grass gets too much shade it will not grow well and may not flower at all. By the fall the dark green foliage will have a red-tipped leave with a wine-red flower. Pennisetum Pure Energy PPAF can be used in containers or cut flowers, it attracts songbirds and is heat tolerant and deer-resistant.
