Miscanthus Zebrinus or Zebra Grass has a deep green foliage that is marked by gold horizontal bands in irregular patterns. In mid-September, copper-colored flowers appear on the end of tall stalks. Allow room to grow.  Full sun. A Chinese Silver grass attracts birds, but is deer and rabbit resistant. The Pinkish-copper blooms emerge in late summer / early fall and turn silver as they mature.
