Miscanthus Strictus also known as "porcupine grass" displayed with a variegated foliage of yellow horizontal rings. Great as an accent along hedges. In September, reddish, fan-shaped heads develop above the foliage. Bloom time is between August and February.  Deer and rabbit resistant, but attracts birds. Full sun to part shade. Adds winter interest, therefore, cut back in late winter before new growth.
