The Klondyke is best grown in acidic, well-drained rich, humusy soil in part shade. This Azalea will tolerate medium moisture with a fair amount of sun in cool northern summers. If left in hot areas, the leaves may get scorched. It is best to plant in an area that is protected from strong winds facing north or east. Excellent soil drainage is essential to avoid root rot. This Azalea can be used for borders, mixed beds as a hedge, and gardens.
