Native to the eastern US region, Forest Pansy is perfect for wildlife gardens as it attracts butterflies and helps to benefit the birds. This tree is easy to care for, prefers full sun is deciduous with dramatic foliage. It is a good idea to water when the topsoil of 3” is dry to keep the four seasons of change an eye-catching display. This lovely landscape tree is a bright purple in the early spring, turning to a vibrant maroon with rosy, pink flowers against bare branches between spring and winter. They are more compact and suitable for smaller urban spaces or large estates.
